17 Sep NYFW – Rebecca Minkoff Spring/Summer 2016
How does she do it? Year after year, collection after collection, New York Fashion Week season after season, Rebecca Minkoff presents those looks that modern girls about town just want to wear. Fresh, clean, feminine, and incredibly comfortable while maintaining that slim New-YorkRock’n’Roll-meets-French-girl-chic silhouette that fashionistas will kill for. No exception this year, either. Heavily influenced by Marianne Faithful, Rebecca’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection was reminiscent of the 60s queen of melancholy, but with those Jane Birkin/Patti Smith rough edges we have all come to expect and love from Minkoff. Gorgeous, that’s all I can say. If only she made menswear as well, I’d be all over it.
